Main app areas

RES-T combines reading and active recall in one workspace.

PDF Reader

Read study material with search, page navigation, document context, and chapter-style movement where available.

Notes

Capture important ideas while studying and keep your review organized around the material you are reading.

Flashcards

Practice active recall by converting important concepts, definitions, and facts into review cards.

Quizzes

Check understanding with practice questions that help reveal what needs another review pass.

AI Tutor

Ask for explanations, summaries, examples, and study prompts without turning the session into unfocused chat.

Vocabulary

Pull out terms, definitions, and concepts so dense material becomes easier to review later.

Voice and AI

Voice features are optional and under user control.

01

Microphone access is used only when a user chooses to ask a question by voice.

02

Apple system speech tools may be used for voice input or playback when available on the device.

03

Kokoro voice technology is being evaluated for future voice output, but App Store release builds keep experimental Kokoro support disabled unless RISI AI LABS explicitly enables it after review.

Privacy expectations

Use RES-T for learning material, not private student records.

RES-T is designed as a local-first study app. Users should avoid putting sensitive personal or school records into documents, prompts, notes, or support emails.

  • Do not share passwords or recovery codes
  • Do not upload government ID or banking details
  • Do not include student names, grades, attendance, IEP, disability, behavior, or private school records
  • Use approved learning material that you have permission to study

Responsible learning

RES-T supports understanding; it should not replace your work.

Good use

Ask for explanations, summaries, practice questions, vocabulary help, and review plans after you read the material.

Avoid

Do not use RES-T to impersonate a student, bypass school rules, submit generated answers as your own, or process restricted documents.

Check important facts

AI can make mistakes. Always verify important academic, legal, financial, medical, or safety-related information with a reliable source.

FAQ

Common questions for early users.

Is RES-T a PDF reader?

It includes PDF reading features, but RES-T is more than a reader. The goal is to connect reading with notes, flashcards, quizzes, vocabulary, and tutoring support.

Is RES-T already a SaaS web app?

The first launch focus is the Mac app. A hosted SaaS version is planned later after product feedback, privacy review, payment setup, and production infrastructure are ready.

Can schools use it now?

RISI AI LABS can discuss a controlled pilot. School use should stay focused on approved learning material and should avoid sensitive student records until a full school privacy review is completed.

How do I get help?

Email [email protected] with your device, macOS version, what you were studying, and what happened.

How do I install the beta?

Use the TestFlight beta section. The public Apple invite link will be added there after App Store Connect approval.
